Hattie (Harriet) Elizabeth Graydon (1867-1961) was the daughter of John Graydon and Jane Anderson of Streetsville. Hattie, along with her sisters Mabel and Mysia were known as the 'Graydon Girls'. Hattie trained to be a nurse in Chicago at Lakeside Hospital and was Ontario's first Public Health Nurse. Her sister Mysia helped her with public nursing duties. She later retired and returned to Streetsville where she lived in the family home on Queen Street South. She died in 1961. |
