A wooden plaque award presented to Mayor Hazel McCallion from the Peel County Chordsmen. The plaque has a bronze coloured metal plate on top with the inscription: I worked my butt off for Mississauga. This Civic Appreciation Award is presented harmoniously to Hazel McCallion, Mayor, on the first anniversary of the Mississauga Evacuation November 11, 1980 by the Peel County Chordsmen, Mississauga Chapter S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. Glued to the plaque beside the inscription is the "butt" or handle of a rifle. |

History |
Commemorative plaque was given to Mayor McCallion in recognition of the one year anniversary of the Mississauga Train Derailment. It was given to her by local performing group, the Peel County Chordsmen. The male performing organization was active during the 1980s hosting practices at the local Mississauga Valley Community Centre. Its members were part of the Mississauga chapter of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shopping in America. (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.) |
