History |
This mug, crafted by the Sutherland Works Co. is a commemorative piece of the First World War (1914-1918). While this mug commemorates the lives lost in WW1, it also pays homage to the allegiance of the "Triple Entente". Before the commencement of the war, three great nations came together in an alliance based on the French phrase, "Triple Entente" which was founded upon the three principles of friendship, understanding and agreement". Russia, Great Britain and France were the contributors to this alliance and their opposition, known as the Central Powers were made up of Italy, Germany and Austria-Hungary.
