A man's evening coat made of black wool with coat tails, lined with black silk. There is an inside breast pocket on the left. There are four buttons in the front, two buttons on each cuff, and two buttons on the tails. Each button has a woven check design. |

History |
The style is similar to coats from 1870-1925 but is most likely from the turn of the twentieth century. The coat was brought to Canada by the donor's father-in-law when he emigrated from England in 1901. |
