This bobblehead belonged to Carol Horvat who served as Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff to Hazel McCallion for 24 years. Bobblehead doll was created to commemorate Hazel McCallion receiving an honorary degree from the University of Toronto in June 2010. She was conferred with the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, by the University of Toronto during their convocation ceremony for graduates of the University of Toronto Mississauga. McCallion was nominated by the University of Toronto Mississauga vice-president and principal Ian Orchard who highlighted her years of public service and her extensive charitable work. McCallion also helped U of T Mississauga raise funds for the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre located at the Mississauga campus. The event took place on June 7th, 2010 and McCallion was hooded by Professor Ulrich Krull. After retiring from politics Hazel took a special advisor at the University of Toronto, Mississauga.
