History |
Leonard Lyn owned and operated a photo and framing business called L&N Photo that was located at 3091 Hurontario Street Unit 33, across from TL Kennedy Secondary School. It was called L&N Photo named after the two business partners, Leonard Lyn and Rao Nayani. Both were new immigrants to Canada who had bonded over their love of photography. They went into business in 1987. With the introduction of digital cameras, their business began to slow and closed ca. 1996. The two remained life-long friends. Made by Quality Knitting Ltd of Toronto. The company was one of the early Canadian manufacturers making knit shirts at the time. This golf shirt, part of the 'Florida' label, is an example of the company's golf shirt with an 'action sleeve'. It had an underarm gusset that allowed for 'more freedom of movement' (Parkinson, 1991). It was a top-selling label and Quality Knitting was one of the largest manufacturers of golf shirts during the 1990s. References: Justine Lyn, 2024 All in the Family. Quality key for knitting firm.
