History |
The clock was given to Hazel McCallion by Kuehne and Nagel Ltd. The company was founded in 1890 in Bremen, Germany by August Kuehne and Friedrich Nagel, Kuehne and has grown into one of the largest logistic providers. Today, the Kuehne + Nagel Group has more than 1000 offices in over 100 countries, with over 63,000 employees. Their Canadian Head Office is located at 77 Foster Crescent, in Ward 5. They also had warehouse campuses located in Heartland and Millcreek industrial areas. Their public warehouse and distribution centre, located in the Heartland area, was constructed by Orlando Corporation of Mississauga and was built in 1981 on a 42-acre site measuring over 670,000 feet.
