Description |
A white plastic hard hat hand painted with images of buildings including the Living Arts Centre, Siemens Canada Ltd Office, Square One Shopping Centre and the Hershey Centre. On top of the buildings is a sky painted in light blue and white. On the visor of the hat is written in black paint " Hazel McCallion Construction Leader". The symbol for PCL Construction in the centre front. Under the hard hat is an adjustable head band with 2 material straps across the centre in the form of an X. On the bottom of the visor, there is information regarding the cleaning, temperature, size, and safety for using the hat. "North Safe" is also inscribed on the bottom. |

History |
Hard hat given to Hazel McCallion for being a "Construction Leader" from PCL Construction. The buildings depicted on the hat were all built by PCL during McCallion's tenure as mayor of Mississauga. PCL Constructions' Toronto district office was located at 2085 Hurontario Street, Mississauga ON before moving to Oakville in 2017. PCL Construction continues to build many buildings in Mississauga. |
