History |
Belonged to the donor's mother Sarah Bonham Adamson (1879-1951) who wore it while she was berry picking. Sarah Maria was the daughter of John and Mary Jane Bonham. The family lived on a 90-acre farm that was once located just north of Eglinton Ave between Tenth Line West and Winston Churchill Blvd. After marrying Charles Adamson, the couple settled in Erindale on a farm located on Dundas highway. The Adamson ran a dairy farm but also had chickens, bees, eggs and honey. The Adamson farm is now the site of Erindale Secondary School.
