A framed black and white photograph of Austin Graydon and Bertha Shaw on their wedding day. The couple is standing in front of what looks to be a Ford model T motorcar. Bertha is wearing a light-coloured hat and a dark-coloured dress; she is holding a large bouquet of roses that is adorned with a light-coloured ribbon. Austin is seen wearing a dark-coloured three-piece suit with a light-coloured shirt and tie and a straw hat. The photograph sits inside a wooden rectangular-shaped frame with small rounded corners. Two metal circle openings are on the back for a string or wire hanging. Pencil note on the back reads the date: July 22, 1914. |

Wedding photograph of Austin and Bertha Graydon when they married on July 22, 1914, in Carleton, Ontario. Austin spent much time in Northern Ontario as he worked as a partner for McCraney Lumber Company. Austin and Graydon lived in South River and had one daughter, Jean who would go on to marry Kirby Burns of Streetsville. When Austin retired the family returned to the Streetsville area.
