History |
Mary Manning received a Civic Award of Recognition on Tuesday, November 12th, 1996. She was recognized for individual volunteer work for her many years of service with the Streetsville Historical Society. She remained a long-time area resident of Streetsville and wrote books and notes on the history of the area. She also worked for the Streetsville Library and was a founding member of the Streetsville Historical Society serving as their archivist. She also ran an antique store with her husband Hugh (d. 2010).
