History |
Jeremiah Colman first established Colman's Mustard, based in Norwich, Norfolk, England, in 1814. In 1866 Queen Victoria granted a special Warrant as Manufactures to Her Majesty, an ultimate accolade still used today. Unilever purchased Colman's in 1995 and is still in existence today. Durham Mustard is "fine milled husk-free mustard flour" that was first milled during the 700s by Durham housewife Mrs. Clements. It was first milled for King George I and later sold in small quantities. References: Colman's Mustard Shop.
